...monday, march 26, 2012...day 288...

I don't know what Luke was singing, but watching him play this morning I kept humming, "The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round..."

I got it stuck in your head now too, didn't I. ;)

Semi-creative Play

I love watching Luke get more into creative play.  His creativity rarely strays from the general theme of cars, trucks, trains, and tunnels, but hey, what can I say?  Boys will be boys.

...wednesday, march 21, 2012...day 284...

We spent a lovely morning today visiting with Great Grandpa & Great Grandma Pearl.  They may not have many toys, but they sure do know how to improvise.

Luke was fascinated when Great Grandpa Pearl showed him how to open this umbrella.

Great Grandpa had no qualms about crawling on the ground to make this goat chase after Luke.

Thanks again for entertaining us!

...friday, march 16 - monday, march 19, 2012...

Well folks, we had some technical difficulties here at williamsonfamily.com, but I am happy to announce that the blog is up and functional again.  I can finally share some pictures of the adventures we had last weekend.

Last weekend, I made my first trip to Kansas City to spend a wonderful weekend with my college girlfriends.  The weather was hot and sunny and we had a fabulous time.  Some highlights include,

a long walk & picnic among the flowers in the arboretum

loosing to me at board games (just kidding)

going out for tapas and vino (make that cherry coke, for one of us)

Meanwhile, Sam's parents came to Grand Rapids for a couple of days to help take care of Luke.  They took advantage of the glorious weather on Monday to visit the zoo.  Here are my favorite pics.

Luke's (only) favorite vegetable

...thursday, march 15, 2012...day 277...

I used to be so proud of my dear sweet and easy (albeit chubby) son who would eat anything... well, those days are fading fast.  Little Garbage Disposal is slowly being replaced by Mr. Picky Eater, and I can't say I'm too happy about it.  I faithfully present my child with delicious vegetables every day, but honestly yesterday when Luke shoved a pea up his nostril I just about threw in the towel.  Sigh.

There is, however, ONE vegetable that Luke loves, and that is carrots.  I know that they don't really fulfill his green veggie vitamin needs, but hey, at least they're a vegetable.  We'll take what we can get I think and just give him a multivitamin for the rest. :)

75 degrees in March? Yes please!  We'll take full advantage of this weather with a picnic dinner at the park.

Is it summer yet?
